The Island
Koh Samui international airport (known as being one of the most beautiful airports in the world) is located 15 minutes drive from the villa and has several daily flights departing from and to Bangkok, Singapore and Hong-Kong.
BEACHES
The nearest beach to the villa is Chaweng Noi. It is a long white sandy beach and is very quiet both during the day and night time, compared to the main Chaweng beach, which is very lively. On Chaweng Noi beach you can find a selection of restaurants offering sun chairs for free use during the day time as long as you buy a few drinks from them (Bistro Samui).
Beautiful Silver Beach is only 5kms away from the villa. It is nested on a small, sleepy bay tucked between Chaweng and Lamai. The perfect place to enjoy a massage or sip from a fresh young coconut.
Koh Samui is located in the Gulf of Thailand.
It is the largest island in the Chumphon Archipelago, measuring some 25 km at its widest point. It is surrounded by about sixty other islands, which together comprise the Ang Thong Marine National Park and include many other popular tourist destinations, like Koh Pha Ngan and Koh Tao.
At the centre of the island is a sparsely populated tropical jungle mountain called Khao Pom, peaking at 635 m. The various lowland and coastal areas are connected by a single 51 km ring road, running mostly along the coastline and encircling the bulk of the island.
The climate is warm and humid for most of the year. However, in comparison to Phuket and most of the rest of southern Thailand, Samui's weather is relatively dry and the months of July and August are great periods to explore the island.
